Launched in 1966, the Camaro had a precise goal, beat the Mustang ! Developed by Chevrolet as a direct opponent to the blue oval, the car proved great and the second generation, debuted in 1970 announced a new start for car. Benefiting from a better development in terms of finance and time, the car was superior in every point and was one of the few to survive the oil crisis without bending down to the new standards. This very car, built in 1970 in Van Nuys, California,
Prepared by an independent shop, the car became a race car in the early 2000 and was acquired circa 2014 by Geoffroy Peter to run in the Peter Auto championship the same year. Achieving a class victory in Paul Ricard the same year and going on to be the TC1 Champion that year, the car proved competitive early on.
Sold later on to another racing driver, the car will change hands again in 2018.
Property of the current owner since September 2018, the car has been thoroughly prepared by Ferry Developpement in France then continue to be optimised, serviced and raced by Equipe Europe, including 3 Tour Auto participation. During that time, the car was beautifully developed including a new engine by Steve Warrior and more than 200 000 euros worth of work.
Checked and run by Gipimotor for the past months, the car proved fast in the TC1 category in HTC by Peter Auto, claiming a very dominant victory in Dijon Presnois. Available with spares (including an engine and rear axle), the car is ready to compete with a HTP valid until 2027, its French registration papers and all its American greatness !
The car can be seen in our HQ (Brussels - Belgium) on appointment only
